Friday- Prohibition specific lesson
Following Week: Will start to incorporate Frayer model vocab on opener & closer sheets.
Monday 1/28- Start the 20s W/ guided notes
Tuesday 1/29- Social issues: Political cartoons & reading
Wednesday/Thursday- Gray & Baldon are scheduled to be out Wednesday.
Examine the culture/ introduce the 1920s- The Great Gatsby
Friday- Quiz and Harlem Renaissance (Webquest)

Grade Contracts were discussed for recovery options for students.
Planning Instructional Strategies for next week.
- Causes of the War (Small group purposeful talk)
Common Formative Assessment is planned for Friday. Students responded well to Quizizz. Baldon will create Quiz for this week. Backward planning - Causes of WW1, Timeline of events, US involvement in WW1.
Mrs. Roy posed the question - What is the biggest idea you want your students to understand this week? Think about that when you write your quiz.
Ms. Gray has noticed that inputting grades into IC quicker has helped students motivation.
Formative feedback was discussed.

Students are responding well to Quizizz in Mr. Baldon's and Ms. Gray's room.
Students were given multiple attempts to try to improve their scores on the quizizz.
Upcoming: Causes of WW1
Instructional Strategies -
Warm up - How would you feel if your enemy approached your best friend to side with them in an argument. (Small group purposeful talk)
Strategies for Scaffolding assignments and instruction were discussed... particularly for classes that don't have co-teachers.
Students are responding well to Quizizz in Mr. Baldon's and Ms. Gray's room.
